General Information

The Student Council includes all grades of students.  We have 4 Officers.  These Officers (usually Seniors, but can be Juniors) are elected in the Spring for the following school year.  The Student Council is involved in numerous school and community activities.  Some of our big events include: Homecoming Week activities, Blood Drives and Turnabout Week activities.  We also have been involved in attending leadership conferences and other school and community service products.

Eligibility Requirements

All CLS Students can be a part of Student Council.

Joining Procedures

The "Board" is elected late in the Spring of the previous school year.  The rest of the Student Council is made up of Representatives.  Everyone can be a Representative.   Students need to complete a Petition for Student Council Representative.  It requires a student, parent and two teachers’ signatures.

Time Commitment

Varies, depending upon your level of involvement in our activities and events, as well as what project(s) we are currently working on; it can range from an hour or two per month up to 6 hours per month.

Meeting dates are available on the activities calendar link, as well as the bulletin board and Student Council information board near the library.
