General Information

The C-G Tech Crew assists in the creation and production of the Plays (presented by the Drama Club), Musical, and Music Department performances. Tech Crew members will have the opportunity to participate in nearly all aspects of technical theatre including: set construction, scenic artistry, properties, lighting, sound, and stage management.

Eligibility Requirements

Students who are interested in participating in C-G Tech Crew are required to follow all academic eligibility requirements outlined in their student handbook.

Joining Procedures

To join the C-G Tech Crew please email Mr. West for the next meeting date. All students are required to turn in a signed copy of the C-G Technical Theatre Agreement. This agreement outlines the rules and regulations that all participants are required to abide by and it can be found in the shared documents above.

Time Commitment
For the Pre-Production part of a show Tech Crew Members are encouraged to participate as much as possible. There are no required meetings for the Pre-Production part of Tech Crew. The Pre-Production time includes scenic construction, painting, light hangs, and other show requirements.

For the Production, the students who were able to commit the most time to the Pre-Production process will be selected to participate on the Running Crew for that production. The Running Crew assists the show with set movement, properties, light board operation, sound board operation, and stage management. Students who are selected for the Running Crew will receive a schedule outlining the required dates and times for their attendance.

At the end of a Production, all of the previous time committed by a student is set to zero. This allows for all students to have an equal opportunity to be selected to the Running Crew for the next show.

Tech Crew will primarily meet on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3-6 and occasionally Saturdays from 9-4. Complete calendar details can be found HERE. Please email Mr. West with any additional questions.
