Lengths of Terms, Class Periods, and Daily Schedules
The school year is 182 days divided into two semesters. There are nine, 45-minute class periods per school day, except on Mondays and during early release days. All classes meet daily with the following exceptions:
10 Periods per week – AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, Auto II, Advanced Mechanical Engineering & Design
7 Periods per week – Auto I, Food & Nutrition I, Food and Nutrition II, Creative Foods, Commercial Foods and Preschool Lab, as well as all science classes except Biology 301-302, Biology 303-304, Physical Science, Survey of Human Anatomy & Physiology, Science & Society, which meet 5 periods per week
6-7 Periods per week - AP Calculus meets 6-7 periods per week depending on the school building and the level of AP Calculus (AB or BC) being taught
3 periods per week – Classroom Driver Education
2 periods per week – Behind-The-Wheel and Freshman Seminar
