Students choose from more than 200 academic and vocational courses in art, business education, driver education, English, world language, family and consumer science, health education, industrial and technical education, mathematics, music, physical education, science, and social science. The district also offers Cooperative Education work-study programs and Special Education.

Description of Special Ability Courses
(Honors, Advanced Placement)

Honors course are those designed for students who show exceptional ability in an area. These courses are for students with higher than average learning ability. The students should meet individual department recommendations and should expect extra assignments.

Advanced Placement (or AP) notation on a transcript preceding Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Computer Science, French, German, Physics, Spanish, Statistics, U.S. History and English Language & Composition indicate preparation for AP exams for college credit or placement. Such classes are grade-weighted.

Mathematics Geometry (H), Advanced Algebra with Trigonometry (H), Pre-Calculus (H), AP Computer Science (H), AP Calculus AB (H), AP Calculus BC (H), and AP Statistics (H)
Music AP Music Theory (H)
Science Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, Honors Physics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and Honors Environmental Science
Social Studies Economics (H), Ancient Civilizations (H), Change & Revolution (H), Nineteenth & Twentieth Century World (H), AP U.S. History, and Modern World History (H)
World Language Level III & IV of a language, AP French (H), AP German (H), AP Spanish (H)
